Full Coverage

When a Wig May Be the Right Hair Solution

A wig provides full coverage and may be the better option when hair loss is extensive, progressing quickly, or expected as part of medical treatment. Unlike a topper, which blends with growing hair, a wig is designed to create the complete finished look.

Chemotherapy Hair Loss

When treatment is expected to cause significant or complete hair loss and timing matters.

Alopecia

For women and men experiencing extensive or complete hair loss who want consistent, natural-looking coverage.

Significant Hair Loss

When thinning or loss has progressed beyond what targeted coverage can comfortably conceal.

Medical Hair Loss

When treatment, medication, or another medical circumstance results in extensive hair loss and full coverage feels like the right next step.

Natural Movement. Natural Appearance.

Why We Focus on High-Quality Human Hair Wigs

The quality of the hair matters. We primarily work with high-quality, minimally processed human hair because our goal is to recreate the movement, softness, texture, and appearance of growing hair as naturally as possible.

Natural Movement

Human hair moves and responds more like growing hair.

Better Color Detail

Color can be selected, blended, and further customized when needed for a more seamless result.

Individual Styling

Each wig is cut and styled for the woman who will actually wear it.

Quality Selected for You

We help select the appropriate hair quality based on the natural look you want, your lifestyle, and your investment.

More Than Buying a Wig

The Difference Is the Experience

When hair loss happens, most women do not know what they need. They only know that they are losing their hair. Our job is to help with everything that comes after that.

Buying a Wig Online

A wig arrives in a box, but fit, color, cut, styling, care, and adjustments are largely left to you — during a time when you may already feel overwhelmed.

Our Wig Experience

We guide you through fit, materials, color, customization, cut, styling, care, follow-up, cleaning, and future adjustments — all privately and one-on-one.

For 50 years, our role has been to help people navigate hair loss when they may not yet know what questions to ask.

A Real Hair Loss Journey

What the Experience Can Mean

Every woman experiences hair loss differently. Hearing from someone who has gone through the process can sometimes explain the emotional side better than any product description can.

Handmade Quality. Personalized for You.

Every Wig Is Handmade. Every Finished Look Is Customized.

We do not work with mass-produced, low-cost wigs. Every wig we provide is handmade using high-quality materials and carefully selected human hair.

Some wigs allow for more customization within the piece itself, depending on the timing and the needs involved. No matter the starting point, the finished look is shaped around you. We help select the right size, length, hairline materials, texture, and color, then fine-tune the fit and complete the cut and styling in our center so the result feels natural, comfortable, and personal.

When Timing Matters, Quality Still Comes First

For women experiencing medical hair loss, timing can be important. We work closely with you to create the best possible wig for your needs while protecting the quality, fit, and natural appearance that matter most.

Chemotherapy & Hair Loss

If Possible, Meet With Us Before Your Hair Is Lost

For many women undergoing chemotherapy, hair begins shedding relatively soon after treatment begins. That can create a short window to select and prepare a wig.

When possible, we prefer to meet while you still have your natural hair. Seeing your current color, density, length, texture, and style helps us recreate a look that feels familiar.

If your hair has already begun to fall — or is already gone — you have not missed your opportunity. We can work from photographs, hair samples, color rings, and the preferences you share with us.

Medical Guests Are Prioritized

We understand that when hair loss is connected to medical treatment, you may not have months to wait. We prioritize medical guests and work with you to have your wig ready when you need it.

In many cases, that means just a few weeks — and sometimes sooner. The earlier we are able to meet with you, the more time we have to match your hair, prepare your wig, and make the process feel less rushed.

Private From Beginning to End

A Private Room. One-on-One Attention.

From your first Hair Solution Consultation through the delivery and styling of your wig, every step takes place in a private room. You do not have to discuss hair loss, try options, or adjust to your new appearance with other clients around you.

That privacy gives you space to ask questions, process what is happening, and receive our complete attention during a very personal time.

The Consultation Process

What Happens During a Custom Wig Consultation?

Specialist taking head measurements and checking cap sizing during a private custom wig consultation in Cleveland.

You do not need to arrive knowing what wig you want. The purpose of the consultation is to help us understand where you are today and guide you through the choices that matter.

We take time to learn about your hair loss, your timeline, your preferences, and the kind of result you want to achieve. From there, we help determine the fit, materials, color direction, and next steps that make the most sense for you.

1. Private Conversation

We learn what is happening, your timeline, what your hair looks like now or looked like before, and what you hope to recreate.

2. Fit, Measurements & Cap Sizing

We take measurements and use cap-fitting systems to determine the right size while letting you feel how the materials and construction will sit on your head.

3. Hair & Color Selection

We use your hair, photographs, hair samples, color rings, and available wig examples to establish the right direction.

4. Your Wig Plan

We determine the appropriate wig, available customization, expected timeline, investment, and next steps.

5. Cut-In, Styling & Wear Education

When your wig is ready, we work with you in person to place it, refine the cut and styling on you, and shape the finished look so it feels like you. We also show you how to put it on, take it off, and begin wearing it with confidence.

6. Ongoing Support

We continue helping with fit, styling, maintenance, care, cleaning, repairs, and adjustments as you begin wearing your wig.

Which Type of Coverage?

Wig or Hair Topper?

A Wig May Be Right When…

  • Hair loss is extensive or complete
  • Chemotherapy is expected to cause significant loss
  • Alopecia affects a large portion of the scalp
  • You want full coverage rather than blending with growing hair

A Topper May Be Right When…

  • You still have substantial growing hair
  • Thinning is concentrated through the part, crown, or top
  • You want targeted density and coverage
  • Your natural hair can blend into the finished style

Insurance & Medical Wigs

Using Insurance for a Medical Wig

If your wig is needed because of a medical condition or treatment, there are three basic steps to seeking reimbursement through your insurance plan.

1. Get a Prescription

Ask your physician for a prescription for a full cranial prosthesis.

2. We Provide Your Receipt

We provide documentation with our business information, tax ID, address, and your payment details.

3. Submit for Reimbursement

Submit your prescription and receipt to your insurance company according to the requirements of your individual plan.

Coverage varies by insurance company and individual plan. We recommend contacting your insurer in advance to understand your benefits. We do not bill insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid directly.

Custom Wigs: Common Questions

Do I need to wait until my hair falls out before coming in?

No. If you know chemotherapy or another treatment may cause hair loss, seeing us while you still have your hair can help us match your existing color, length, density, and overall look. If your hair is already gone, we can still work from photographs and color references.

How quickly can I receive a medical wig?

We prioritize medical guests and understand that timing can be important. Many clients can have their wig prepared within just a few weeks, and sometimes sooner. Meeting with us as early as possible gives us the most time to prepare the right option for you.

Do I have to remove my remaining hair before wearing a wig during chemotherapy?

No. Some women want to keep every remaining hair for as long as possible, while others find the gradual shedding difficult and prefer to remove it. We support either choice. If you decide you are ready to remove the remaining hair, we can handle the process privately, slowly, and with sensitivity, then help transition you into your wig.

Will I be able to try on wigs during my consultation?

We keep some wigs in the center so you can see hair quality, colors, materials, and construction, and there are times when trying one on is helpful. Our primary fitting process uses measurements and cap-sizing systems so we can determine fit and let you experience how the materials will feel on your head.

Do you offer synthetic wigs?

Our primary focus is high-quality human hair because it best supports the natural movement, appearance, customization, and styling we want to create. Other fiber options may occasionally be appropriate depending on individual circumstances.

Does insurance pay for a medical wig?

Some insurance plans may provide reimbursement for a prescribed cranial prosthesis, but coverage varies by company and individual plan. We provide the purchase documentation you need to submit with your physician’s prescription, but we do not bill insurance directly.

What happens after I receive my wig?

We continue to support you. We provide care and maintenance education, product guidance, styling and fit adjustments, professional cleaning and restyling services, and repair support when needed.

You Do Not Have to Figure This Out Alone

Whether you are preparing for chemotherapy, living with alopecia, or experiencing significant hair loss, a private Hair Solution Consultation gives us time to understand what you need and help you create a natural-looking solution that feels like you.
