What to Expect & How to Prepare
Thank you for scheduling your ScalpCheck®. This page will help you prepare so we can get the most accurate look at your scalp and hair.
ScalpCheck® is our in-depth analysis designed to help identify underlying hair and scalp concerns. During your visit, we use specialized technology and magnification to evaluate the scalp environment, review what we see, and guide you toward the next best step for your hair and scalp health.
How to Prepare for Your Appointment
Please follow these steps so we can get the clearest and most accurate view of your scalp.
1. Do Not Wash Your Hair
Do not wash your hair for 48 hours prior to your appointment.
2. Keep the Forehead Clear
Please do not wear makeup or moisturizer on your forehead the day of your appointment.
3. Avoid Excess Styling Products
Refrain from using heavy styling products such as gels, sprays, or similar products the day of your appointment.
4. No Camouflage Scalp Makeup
Refrain from using any type of camouflage scalp makeup for 48 hours before your appointment.
5. Avoid Heavy Exercise
Please avoid heavy exercise or aerobic activity the day of your analysis.
Helpful Extra
If possible, bring or photograph the hair and scalp products you are currently using.

Avoid camouflage scalp makeup and excessive styling products before your visit.
Allow 90 Minutes
Please plan for about 90 minutes for your ScalpCheck® appointment.
48-Hour Cancellation Notice
Your $75 deposit is forfeited if you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
ScalpCheck® is our exclusive in-depth analysis of your scalp and hair, designed to help identify underlying causes of hair and scalp concerns.
Detailed Evaluation
We evaluate the hair and scalp using Cesare Ragazzi’s proprietary software, TricoTest, along with non-invasive technology and multiple levels of magnification.
Closer Look at the Scalp
This allows us to sense and view hydration and oil levels in the skin and hair and examine the scalp more closely than the naked eye can.
Next-Step Guidance
Once we identify what we are seeing, we guide you toward a customized treatment plan or next-step recommendation for your scalp and hair health.
Cancellation & Deposit Policy
We are only able to offer a limited number of ScalpCheck® appointments. To reserve your time, we require a $75 deposit. If you choose not to come to your appointment and do not notify us at least 48 hours in advance, the deposit will be forfeited so that time could have been offered to a guest on our waiting list.
