I started noticing my hair getting thinner in the past 8 years.  First, it started as just a few hair strands a days, then, more hair began to appear in the shower drain, until one day I realized: “I have a real problem here!” My biggest questions were, “WHY is this happening to me?”, and “WHAT can I do about it?”  That’s the way communication issues start.  It is one little thing here, one misunderstanding there.  One offense caused because someone simply does not understand when they do or say “THAT”, it hurts or offends me.  Or, if you are like me, you have conflicting thoughts or ‘voices’ inside that make you feel that you must need to see a professional!  Well, yes, we do!  But, not that kind of professional! We need a Communication Coach.  Someone who can share very simple information that once you know it, it changes everything and starts preventing LOSS in relationships!

So what’s the solution?

Communication. It’s the most basic thing we do, and can also be the most difficult; especially in trying situations whether it’s in relationships, work environments or everyday lives.  There are seven communication languages that all of us speak. Each of those languages has VERY SIMPLE and very predictable ways in which they interface with those around them. Each Language has a ‘filter’ – the question asked of others that MUST be answered to have healthy communication.  Each Language has a ‘need from others’ – that ONE thing that must be done by those around them in order to feel validated and cared about.  Each Language has a ‘passion’ – that one thing they MUST be able to accomplish – daily – in order to have a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment in life.  Finally, each Language has a key ‘character strength’ that sets them apart from everyone else in the way they interface with others that needs to be encouraged to be validated. Once we understand the filters, needs, passions and strength of each communication language we can break down all of the barriers to having healthy open conversations in our  relationships and daily lives.

It is my mission to help you to understand these forms of communication in order to avoid that initial misunderstanding that may stop the communication flow all together. I look forward to assisting you, over the next few months, on your journey to discover your unique Communication Languages.

Thank you Carolyn,  for these important tips on communications!  Maintaining healthy communication is important to a healthy life.  For more information on Carolyn Santos visit her at http://www.carolynsantos.com.
