Friends, meet Linsey, one of our former Hair Loss Makeover Winners. After she went through a private consultation, we were able to determine the best solution for her hair loss.
In order to further determine the best custom designed solution for Linsey, or anyone who comes in to Jeffrey Paul Salon, we must determine Linsey’s lifestyle to choose which attachment method would be best suited for her needs.
In the video above I will take you through the various options, as well as some facts, about the two types of attachment methods. These two attachment methods include the following:
One out of every four women are experiencing some form of hair thinning. What most of those women don’t realize is that they are not alone. As a woman, you relate to other women, you empathize, sympathize, support and care for one another. It is easy, and important for a woman, to be able to share about her life, feelings and relationships. As a woman, you need this as it makes you feel more whole and complete and most important – not alone.
However, when it comes to talking about something as sensitive as hair loss, many times I find that the women I see,on a regular basis, don’t want to talk about it…not even with other women…not even if it meant finding a solution. This in turn leaves many of these women feeling very alone and stuck.
Let me be the first to tell you that if you are experiencing hair loss and have either found or not found a solution – you are NOT alone! On Tuesday, September 29th my center will be offering a styling class. This is an opportunity for women, both who have found a solution and who are considering a solution to come in and be with women who are just like you. It is your opportunity to not only get some great hair tips, but to meet women who can relate to exactly what you are going through. To tell their stories of what they went through before for finding a solution and now that they have a solution. This is your opportunity to not only take advantage of helping your hair look great, but to never feel alone again!

October is very widely recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness month, but many of the people I meet are unaware that this first week of October also marks Trichotillomania Awareness Week. Unlike Breast Cancer many people do not know what Tricotillomania is or that it affects 1 out of 50 people.

Kristen used to not worry about hair loss. She had hair that was thick and full, and it always looked good. A few years ago, her hair began to fall out. Kristen noticed piles of hair each morning while getting ready. There were a few reasons she could think of that could be contributing factors to her hair’s condition.
Going from early stage to intermediate stage of female hair thinning, loss and breakage, she decided to seek help from the Jeffrey Paul Salon team.

Linsey was diagnosed with Grave’s Disease, an autoimmune disorder leading to hyperthyroidism, back in 1996.As we spent time with Linsey we found that her hair loss was caused by a combination of Graves’ Disease, Hashimoto’s Disease and the medications associated with them. For these types of diseases that cause damage emotionally, and physically it’s so important to build awareness so that women who may be suffering can seek and find help.

We prepared Linsey for her hair system by having a personalized discussion with her about her hair loss and determining which solution would be best for her specifically.
If you’ve watched the Oscars, Fashion Week or any of the red carpet events lately, I’m sure you’ve noticed that celebrities and models were rocking the cat eye. Of course it was made famous by one of the most fabulous Egyptian Queens and now it’s a look that’s coming back!

Back in November my team ran A New Year Hair Loss Makeover contest on my blog and social media channels. We received an overwhelming response from all of our fans, and now it’s time to unveil the transformation.

“I’m so excited I want to scream… but I don’t want to scare my kids!” – Linsey D.
I am so excited to announce the “A New You Makeover” winner – Linsey D. My team spent a great deal of time trying to decide between the many applicants and the two well deserving finalists. As we spent time with Linsey we found that her hair loss was caused by a combination of Graves Disease, Hashimoto’s Disease and the medications associated with them. We realized that there is a need to bring awareness to women, all over, experiencing thyroid and autoimmune type diseases – that there is a solution for thinning hair and hair loss.
Linsey was so excited to find out that she has been selected as our winner that not only did she want to scream, but said this contest is the only thing she has ever won – besides a coloring contest when she was younger! Her husband was so elated he began yelling and jumping for joy at his office. His co-workers rushed in to see if everything was okay! And our favorite was that when Linsey told her mom, over text, that she had won, Linsey said, “my mom is screaming for joy – over text!”
Over the past month I ‘ve asked and you’ve answered! So many of you have sent us your stories to enter the Jeffrey Paul Salon and Beachwood Plastic Surgery and Medial Spa’s makeover contest, “A New You,“ and now, we are excited to change one woman’s life who is living with hair loss. We have chosen our two finalists and would like to share their stories with you.
Linsey: Linsey was diagnosed with Grave’s Disease, an autoimmune disorder leading to hyperthyroidism, back in 1996.
“When I first started losing my hair, I kept telling myself it would come back. ‘It has to’, I’d say. That was 16 years ago. It has been a lonely and depressing journey.”
“If I won this makeover it would truly change my life. I have been desperately seeking the confidence that so many women in our society take for granted. I long to feel what it might be like to get my fingers caught in my hair. Or to have to pull my hair back because it’s being unruly. To feel what it’s like to have to put a hat on because I’m actually having a bad hair day.“
Kylie:
Kylie began losing her hair when she was 12 and by the time she was 15 she was completely bald from alopecia. She continued to struggle with different wigs that just did not work for her.
“Winning this contest would mean that women like me across the states can also make a change in their life for the better. It stands as a symbol for anyone going through hair loss for any reason that they too- are special enough to change their lives.”
“Whether it be by makeover or lifestyle change- beauty comes from within. A makeover emphasizes that beauty and gives me a reason to share my story with others, hopefully enabling other women to make the positive change as well.”
